Entrance systems

Entrance systems listed in this section are certified to LPS 1175 Requirements and testing procedures for the LPCB approval and listing or intruder resistant building components, strongpoints, security enclosures and free-standing barriers.

In order to comply with the terms of the approval, the entrance systems must be installed in accordance with the relevant manuals noted within the product entry.

When selecting an entrance system, it is important to note aspects such as the size, operating modes and the location of the product within the substrate. These products also offer a wide variety of options, such as safety and detection systems, emergency unlocking devices, links to fire alarm systems.  All can affect the level of security provided by the product. Where options are not covered in the listing, those options fall outside the scope of that product’s approval.
